Sometimes we all need to come up with new perspectives and ideas that are covered in dust. There is nothing better than to open your mind and discover inspiration from other enthusiasts than ourselves.
Today I offer you 10 nice Valentine´s day scrapbook ideas that can help you come up with fresh ideas for your own creation. The secret is in the details, which we can always adapt, change and combine in an unexpected way. I did not use a lot of patterned papers, it was not my focus. But our most favorite scrapbook sites are almost always the ones where we've used patterned papers we love!
On my first layout, I used a photo instead of patterned paper. This layout is based on the layout template, but I used only one shape from the whole layout. But you can use only a photo and a rectangle. I like the emphasis placed on the photo.
The second is a more traditional layout. The photo is highlighted with multiple layers of paper. It is advisable to keep the background neutral and to define the layout from above and below (or right and left) with decorative strips.
Highlighting the photo with a distinctive decorative frame enhances the focus on the photo. It is good to keep the layout clean and simple so that the frame does not disappear and we do not get the exact opposite. Rather, you can reach for single-color papers complemented by less expressive patterns.
Here I played with color. I "pulled" a strong red color from the shot onto the layout using the title and red button. And placing them all around the photo gives a great focus on the picture. I added a small piece of green paper to the layout, to balance the warm colors a little bit.
Flowers are always a great idea. The work every time. Since they are busy and have a strong structure, it is good to keep the background simple as possible. If the flowers are colorful, the background should be neutral. White is often the best choice.
The use of a single-color photo matt will help break down patterned and busy scrapbook papers. Lace can be ideal in many cases as it also provides a highly decorative effect. But it doesn´t need to be white!
So these were my most basic observations. I hope they will be useful to someone. Not only beginners can sometimes feel overwhelmed. It's always a good idea to look at things from a different perspective.
